Battlefield 1942 Revival

Battlefield 1942 News

My brothers and sisters... I come before you today to ask for your participation. We must not let 1942 fall by the wayside! We must not forget those who have pwned and been pwned by zooks to the face on abandoned city. Nor must we forget the many shankings at Bocage or the massive artie strikes from the POW and Yamato at Midway. So we invite you to participate in a REVIVAL. A revival of the game all but forgotten in the shadow of Bad Company 2. Let us re-live the Jeep-Bowl Gridiron at DS-Football, the white-knuckle racing of Daytona, and the cute fluffy sheep at Stonehenge that go "baaa baaa BOOM!" in the dead of night. Let us now take the Road to Rome carrying our Secret Weapons as we reignite our fight for honor and glory... AMEN!

We're thinking about Saturday or Sunday at 8PM or 9PM EST so people can play. What days and times would work for you guys?

Bad Company 2 Thursday Night Fights

Each Thursday we will choose a map and choose teams and have at it! It will be held every Thursday at 10pm Eastern. Please show up early because we will choose teams promptly at 10 and close the TS channel.

This will serve as a practice for everyone, practice for the comp team members, and as a "fun day" for all!

WHEN: Thursdays at 10pm Eastern/9pm Central

We are currently in need of donations for September and then on to October.

Any donation amount is accepted ($5-$100+). Our server needs are at $250 a month guys. Donations have been slow as of late.

RIP [5th MR]PVT Sneaky Pete

We at the 5th would like to honor one of our fallen hero's. PVT Sneaky Pete formally of the TAW clan, passed away suddenly on 2/13/10.

He will be surely missed here at the 5th. He was a highly respected and beloved member of our online community by both our members and pubbies of our 5th Marines Midway only server.

NEW Teamspeak 3 sever

The 5th Marine Regiment has now setup a TeamSpeak 3 Server. With it comes new communication features and plugins.

All members, recruits and public players are encouraged to download TeamSpeak 3. You may still use our older TeamSpeak 2 server but it will be shutting down very soon.

Download TeamSpeak 3 at the following link.

Be sure to choose the correct client. You're either have a 32-bit or 64-bit computer. A simple way to check what you have is to right click on the "My Computer" desktop icon and select properties or press your Windows key + Pause Break key at the same time. It will show you what bit your operating system is.

After you download and install the program be sure to create a bookmark for our TeamSpeak 3 server. To do this go to "Bookmarks" and then "Manage Bookmarks". Click "Add Bookmark" and a few blank fields will show up at the bottom. Delete where it says "New Server" at the bottom and replace with "5th Marine Regiment". Then complete the rest with the following information.

Address: 72.232.181.234
Port: 9987
Password: 5thmr
Nickname: Rank Name

If you're a member your nickname will be "PVT Smith" or if you're a recruit it will be "REC Smith". Rank or Recruit tags are always capitalized.

All public players are required to use only their in-game name with no rank or recruit association.
