COMBAT ACTION REPORT:

Date: August 20th 2009
Time: (21:30 - 9:30 EST)
Attendance: 17 + 2 pubbies
Team Captains: WO3 Leadfoot - 2LT Ted Nugent
Captain Knife Fight: WO3 Leadfoot gutted 2LT Ted Nugent with his rusty knife!

(NOTE): STRAGGLERS MUST CHECK WITH TEAM CAPTAINS BEFORE JOINING A LIVE BATTLE TO PREVENT TEAM UNBALANCE!!!!!!

We had 19 players in Teamspeak at Battle-Time (21:30 - 9:30 EST). Some very intense battles.........

Round 1: Berlin Airborne Operation

WO3 Leadfoot chose Allied for round 1. His forces stormed into Berlin & with late reinforcements arriving for a time causing an unbalance in teams, was able to bleed out Ted's Axis of Noobs.

Round 2: Battle of Hurtgen Forest

2LT Ted Nugent chose Allied for round 3. Ted's forces put a Stranglehold(*) on the Eastern Forest Encampment & never let go, however it was a Free For All(*) at the Western Hill Top with the flag changing hands several times. in the end, the Allies were Stormtroopin(*) their way to victory as time expired.

(*) - References are the property of the real Ted Nugent.

Round 3: Abandoned City (Bonus Round)

LTC dsnuts chose Allied for the bonus round. The Allies went nuts & once they secured the center flag, they never let go. The church flag changed hands & the Axis were able to hold it & say some prayers, but they were never answered as the Allies held out for the victory.

I will entertain the idea of 2 rounds per map next time, however round time may be reduced to 20 min because players get tired or have to leave.

Briefing: "Battle of the Dukla Pass was the scene of bitterly contested battle for the borderland between Poland and Slovakia on the Eastern Front of World War II between Nazi Germany and Soviet Union in September-October 1944. The battle would become one of the bloodiest on the entire Eastern Front.

One of the valleys in the pass near the village of Kapisova would become known as the Valley of Death. Here, Soviet and German armor clashed in a miniature reenactment of the great tank battle of Kursk."
