BATTLEMAP

The Battle of Villers-Bocage was a Second World War battle fought on 13 June, 1944, during the Battle of Normandy. As part of Operation Perch, a manoeuvre intended to encircle and capture the German-occupied city of Caen, the British 7th Armoured Division made an opportunistic attempt to drive into the German flank through a gap in the front line and seize the town of Villers-Bocage.

The Liberation of Paris (also known as Battle for Paris) took place during World War II from 19 August 1944 until the surrender of the occupying German garrison on the 25th and is accounted as the last battle in the Campaign for Normandy and the transitional conclusion of the Allied invasion breakout in Operation Overlord into a broad-fronted general offensive.

The Battle for Caen (6 June - 6 August) was a battle primarily between Canadian troops and German forces during the Battle of Normandy.

The Battle of Carentan was an engagement between airborne forces of the United States Army and the German Wehrmacht during the Battle of Normandy. The battle took place between June 10 and 14, 1944, on the approaches to and within the city of Carentan, France.

HOW Omaha Beach was a feirce battle. We had 18 player in-game at battle time.

Unfortunately due to some unforseen bug, HOW Sword Beach was scrapped. We have decided to add another map later & head on to the open country of France.

Leaderboard has been updated to Include HOW Omaha Beach only.

Heroes Of War Page

Thursday 10/01/2009 will be HOW Fall of Caen (a slightly modded version of Liberation of Caen).

Sunday Night's Battle will be Carentan.

HOW Fall of Caen will be available for download Thursday 10/01/2009.

Carentan will be available for download Friday 10/02/2009.

I would also like to welcome SSGT Burdine to the 5th Mod team & look forward to his assistance in the Campaign.

Great turnout for HOW Omaha Beach. We had 18 players at battletime.

Due to the length of time to play each map, we have decided to break each Part of the campaign into 2 nights.

1 map will be played on Thursday evening & the other on Sunday evening. This will address the time issues & also allows more players an opportunity to participate.

So, HOW Sword Beach will be played this Sunday September 27th 2009
